I almost forgot...

I have some pictures of the last two things I did on Jezebel.

First up is the clutch cable clamp. The stupid plastic factory clamp was broken in half when I bought her and I've been running with a cable tie for a long time. Despite the fact that I have never had any issues with that set up, it's still pretty ghetto. I picked up some aluminum 3/8" brake line clamps at work, filed one down to fit between the nuts on the cable joint, and called that a day. I'll take it back off and polish it up later, but the fit is perfect with enough play that it doesn't damage the threads on the cable, yet still holds it securely to the frame rail.

Then I took care of the breather issue. I snagged a small K&N breather filter with a 1/4" stud mount. There wasn't a great spot to mount it out of the way on the right side, but I found a nice spot on the left. The stud for the filter is now also the mounting stud for the horn cover. It needed a 1/4" spacer to let it stand off of the horn bracket, but it fits well and it's out of the way. I think it's cleaner looking and it keeps the oil out of the air cleaner and carb.

Well kids, that's all for now. I'll have more after tomorrow.

Stay tuned...

Ethanol is really just...

The government's way of fucking my shit up. You might be asking, how is that? WELL....

Since The Old Lady never remembers to put stabilizer in that corn based bullshit before she lets it sit for an extended period of time, it turns into a gel like shit substance that clogs EVERY POSSIBLE ORIFICE IN HER CARBURETOR, then I have to take the stupid thing apart again and again and again...and again. So, if you were wondering what happens to the inside of an unprotected fuel system with that shit fuel in it...

*note this gas is from our local Union 76 and Shell stations and not el-cheap-o marts*

Now we're cleaned out (again) and it'll be back on the Falcon and running again tomorrow.

No show...

No bike show pictures yet. But here's what I did on the Olds today.

So that was it for today. I'll get bike pictures up soon.

The Snoho Bike show....

Was pretty cool. Much better weather than last year. But I forgot the camera at the Old Lady's store so I'll have to put up the pictures later. I do have a couple she took with her phone before we left though.

I'll snag some pictures of the new clutch cable mount I made and the new breather set up. They turned out pretty bitchin and Jezebel runs a lot better without the heads puking oil back into the carb. More later.

Get a bigger hammer...

Spent most of the day in the lab getting blood work and other testing done, but I got out with enough time to stuff three inches of cap into a two and five eighths cover. So here's a progression.

So I got the one done. I also had to fix the starter on the Old Lady's Falcon. The bendix kept slipping, so I cleaned the contact points and got that spinning as it should. The gas in the car is really bad and there's a lot of shit in the fuel bowl from the shitty ethanol gas. I'll post pics from the carb rebuild after tomorrow.

After the carb, I'll get after fixing her unsafe disc brake conversion. So watch for that.

On another bike note, here's the reason the bike broke down in traffic on me twice the other morning.

All wires are not created equal. This was the primary wire to my coil. Please note there are only five strands of wire on this garbage low strand count off-shore shit wire. If you look really close at the corrosion, there was only one strand that wasn't broken. It still has the wire I crimped together to get home. I'll have pictures of the proper rewire later.

Rub faster...

Got the front end done on Jezebel today. It's not perfect but it'll look nice till I go back in over the winter.

Also I decided to compile the progression from where it started when Aaron bought it to where we are now so...

When he first bought it

After his first batch of mods

As I bought it

At the start of this year

And right now.

So there's her story so far. There will be more to come.
