First up is the clutch cable clamp. The stupid plastic factory clamp was broken in half when I bought her and I've been running with a cable tie for a long time. Despite the fact that I have never had any issues with that set up, it's still pretty ghetto. I picked up some aluminum 3/8" brake line clamps at work, filed one down to fit between the nuts on the cable joint, and called that a day. I'll take it back off and polish it up later, but the fit is perfect with enough play that it doesn't damage the threads on the cable, yet still holds it securely to the frame rail.

Then I took care of the breather issue. I snagged a small K&N breather filter with a 1/4" stud mount. There wasn't a great spot to mount it out of the way on the right side, but I found a nice spot on the left. The stud for the filter is now also the mounting stud for the horn cover. It needed a 1/4" spacer to let it stand off of the horn bracket, but it fits well and it's out of the way. I think it's cleaner looking and it keeps the oil out of the air cleaner and carb.

Well kids, that's all for now. I'll have more after tomorrow.
Stay tuned...
