Anyway, I got the olds out of the garage under its own power for the first time in what feels like ages.
Then I had to do a valve job on the Old Lady's Falcon. She's had a pretty consistant miss at idle. After double checking the ignition and fuel systems with a fine tooth comb, I did a compression test and checked for cylinder leak down as well. All six had fairly even compression right around the 150 range, but three and four were leaking down rather rapidly. So, off with her head. The cylinder walls looked fine so we just went with the valve job.
Then I painted the motor and engine compartment while the head and accessories were all off.
This morning we were back up and running better than ever, so we hit a show and then cruised around a bit.

So life has been pretty crazy the last couple weeks, but hopefully the worst is behind me now and I can keep up the pace and wrap The Olds up before the big All Oldsmobile show in two weeks. Just some minor shit and we should be there.
Stay tuned...
